השם של המארז הוא Cooler Master Pi CASE 40, החברה ביקשה מימון של 100,000$ תוך 28 יום, אבל הצליחה לגייס את הסכום המלא תוך שעה אחת בלבד.
תרומות לפרויקט מתחילות מ26$ למארז שכולל תמיכה בתקן VESA ועד לסכום של 305$ למארז מותאן אישית.
החברה טוענת שהמשלוחים הראשונים יתחילו בספטמבר 2020.
המארז עשוי אלומיניום עם מגנים בצדדים כדי לשמור על הPI שלכם, האלומיניום משמש מעבר לעיצוב כגוף קירור פאסיבי כדי לקרר את המחשב.
היופי הוא שהחברה מתכננת לשחרר את כל המודלים ששומשו לתיכנון המארז כקוד פתוח בחינם לחלוטין – דבר שיאפשר לכל אחד להוריד אותם ישירות מאתר האינטרנט.

Pi Case 40 sports a unique features set and a cooling solution worthy of Cooler Master's name. All its elements are enclosed in a premium aluminum shell, further protected by a durable TPU bumper, for a worry free experience.

Unlike most of the competition, the Pi Case 40 allows for a perfect blend of performance, durability and usability.
What's the big deal?
We engineered the Cooler Master Pi Case 40 for optimal performance no matter what you do and where you go. Pi Case 40 is a long-lasting, durable enclosure, designed to meet your needs.
On top of offering an higher grade of protection and cooling for your system, Pi Case 40 includes direct access to the board's connectors and sports a remappable power button.
The GPIO is redirected to the side and it's easily accessible by opening the side flap in the TPU bumper. This allows for cleaner looks and better cable management.
It also includes a useful diagram of the GPIO connections in proximity of the opening, for a hassle-free experience.
A slit in the TPU bumper allows both Display and Camera cables to be routed outside the enclosure. The internal design of the aluminum core accounts for this potential scenario and dedicates plenty of clearance for the ribbon cables.
The case comes included with a power button to easily power on and off the system without having to remove the power source from the Raspberry Pi. The power button is reconfigurable to any other function. Running scripts, overclocking, opening applications… you decide.
Pi Case 40 is designed for reliability, even when it comes to signal reception. Most other manufacturers do not account for the location of the antennas on Raspberry Pi boards, delivering products that severely limit Wifi/Bluetooth reception, often time to the point of isolating the antennas entirely.
Although it is mostly made out of aluminum, Pi Case 40 delivers unrestricted Wifi/Bluetooth reception thank to its exclusive bottom panel design. The lower panel is raised higher in proximity of the antennas and it locks to the aluminum core at an angle, thus preventing signal losses.
We've also included a set of VESA/Wall mounts to unlock greater flexibility out of the box, without the need for any additional 3rd party mounting system.

Lower temps, higher clocks
Pi Case 40 provides a long lasting, premium enclosure for Raspberry Pi 4 pro users. It encloses the Raspberry Pi 4 board in a casted aluminum shell, further refined by various CNC passes and protected by a high grade TPU bumper. Once assembled, the system runs cool and totally quiet, even under "heavy" overclocks.
Our goal is to provide the same performance levels as an actively cooled enclosure, without the need for any additional noisy fan. Our engineers refined the heatsink design to provide 4x times the amount of surface are compared to similarly sized competitors.
On top of this, thanks to the use of casted aluminum, we are able to include a solid aluminum cooling block to cool the CPU down. Using a solid block allows to have an higher heat soaking capacity than any other similar solution. This, coupled with the added fins on the block, makes for a very versatile cooling solution.
The mix of an higher thermal soaking point and the added surface area allows the Pi to run under load for much longer periods of time compared to any other passively cooled Pi case on the market.
And another bonus Pi Case 40's thermal design is… no more dust buildup 😀
The aluminum core is equipped with a special surface treatment that imitates the properties of anodization while avoiding the enviromental impact of such a process. In Cooler Master we consider the environmental impact of our products to be of the utmost importance.
Instead, Pi Case 40 uses an exclusive mix of powder coating and baking for its top surface.This method allows not only to obtain a stronger surface finish, highly resistant to scratches and scuffs, but also to keep the inside of the aluminum core completely free of any non-thermally conductive material, increasing the heat dissipation where it is most important.

Why is Cooler Master developing a Raspberry Pi case?
The team behind Pi Case 40 is quite small 😉 It's a team of Pi enthusiasts who just wanted to try something different, something unique.
It did not take long for the original concept to become a reality. We immediately realized how much potential for innovation there is in the Pi space because the response from the community was simply… incredible.
Everyone wanted to see something from this project, everybody had amazing inputs and ideas and of course… we accepted the challenge!
We are going with Kickstarter to get feedback from professionals and hardcore hobbyists to make this product one that they'll love to use. We are currently working with beta testers from all over Europe and the US… but we want more!
